CHANGING YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION ADDRESS A registered voter who has moved within McLean County must notify the election authority of the change of address and thereby request transfer of his/her registration to the new address, or re-register to vote from the new address. How can I change my address for voting purposes?
When must I change my address? The change of address must be received by the Board or postmarked not later than 28 days prior to an election. We encourage you to change it with us as soon as possible after your move. Can I change my address by telephone or online? No. We must have a voter's signature to change his/her address. What must I do to be registered if I change my name? Any previously registered voter who changes his/her name must re-register and cancel the former registration.
